American Family Kenpo Karate is one of San Diego’s longest-standing karate schools, established in 1996 with roots extending back over 20 years in Lemon Grove, CA. We specialize in teaching real self-defense—not just basic punching, kicking, or ground fighting. Our mission is to empower students of all ages, from children as young as four to adults, by fostering confidence, discipline, and self-awareness. We are proud to offer classes led by both male and female instructors, and we provide instruction in both English and Spanish to accommodate a diverse student body.
