American Family Kenpo Karate

Testimonials

After retiring from 35 years in Law Enforcement, I needed a disciplined exercise program to stay fit, centered, and self motivating to deal with my PTSD.

I selected American Family

Kenpo Karate. After my first free, introductory class I was hooked.

Grand Master Gary Wilson is a 10th degree black belt with 40 years experience. He refined his program called 4.46 to accelerate the learning process.

I've enjoyed both private and group lessons. The cost is very reasonable.

I highly recommend you check out American Family Kenpo Karate. It will have a positive impact on your life!

When I found out my fourth child would also be a girl and that I would have no sons, I knew I was going to have to teach my daughters self-defense. Kenpo has a strong reputation as no-nonsense self defense so l searched until I found AFKK. When I signed my daughters up, Master (now Grandmaster) Wilson invited me to join at the family rate. At the time I was in poor health with a chronic back condition. I could barely walk, but I figured the stretching could help.

Four years later: I am 40 lbs lighter, in the best health of my life, and a proud black belt.

I have been training at American Family Kenpo Karate for almost 2 years, and I absolutely love it. All the instructors are so knowledgeable and openly share with their students their many years of experience. Understanding the way bodies move and respond has been a total game changer for me in my martial arts training. Mr. Wilson is an incredible instructor! My 2 young daughters also train here, and I love that we get to share in this together. They love Mr. Patrick and Ms. Alba, and seeing their progress brings me so much joy. I have also made very good friends here. I know it's in the name, but this dojo is truly a family, and I'm so grateful to have found it!

My daughter and I started to attend this local Karate dojo over a year ago. The instructors are very professional and have decades of experience altogether. They have a variety of class and great schedules to accommodate different age groups which help a lot with work and school balance. I see a lot of improvements in my daughter mental and physical coordination and strength. I personally had started karate when I was a kid, after almost 30 years, it was a great place to get back into it and improve my skills. This is a great place to learn self-defense techniques and the art of Karate. I recommend American Family Kenpo Karate to anyone from kids to adults.

I started Kenpo at the age of 56 because I wanted to stay in shape and keep my mind sharp and in tuned with my body. I love Kenpo and I would recommend it to anyone regardless of age and level of physical fitness. Caring instructors like Master Wilson, his wife Alba, and instructor Tom, make the whole experience worth it. I hope I never have to use it, but if I do, I know it's there. I highly recommend American Family Kenpo Karate.
